INTRODUCTION
Anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance has become a critical priority for organisations in Malaysia, particularly with the enforcement of corporate liability under Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act. Organisations may be held liable for corrupt acts committed by employees or associated persons unless adequate procedures are in place to prevent such misconduct. As such, it is essential for employees at all levels to understand both the risks of corruption and the actions required to safeguard the organisation.
This programme provides participants with a structured and practical understanding of bribery and corruption risks, relevant legal requirements, and organisational responsibilities. Participants will learn to identify common corruption scenarios, recognise warning signs, and understand the importance of internal controls, reporting mechanisms, and ethical decision-making. In addition, the programme emphasises practical steps that employees should take to prevent, respond to, and report potential corruption incidents.
Through case-based discussions and scenario-driven activities, participants will develop the awareness and capability to act appropriately in real workplace situations, thereby supporting organisational compliance and reducing legal exposure. By the end of the programme, participants will be better equipped to uphold ethical standards, comply with ABAC policies, and contribute to building a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability within the organisation.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this 1-day workshop, participants will be able to: –
