COURSE OVERVIEW
Aligning learning and development initiatives with organisational priorities is a key requirement under the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) framework. Organisations are increasingly expected to justify training investments through structured analysis and measurable outcomes. This two-day Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Training Effectiveness Evaluation Workshop is designed to support organisations in meeting HRD Corp requirements by strengthening capability in evidence-based training planning and evaluation.
The workshop provides participants with a systematic approach to conducting Training Needs Analysis that aligns workforce development initiatives with business objectives, performance indicators, and competency frameworks. Participants will be guided through practical tools and methodologies to identify actual skills gaps, prioritise training needs, and ensure that proposed training interventions are relevant, targeted, and justifiable under HRD Corp funding criteria.
Through interactive discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain practical exposure to established and emerging TNA techniques. Emphasis is placed on linking training needs to organisational performance challenges, enabling participants to design learning interventions that directly support productivity, operational efficiency, and talent development outcomes.
A core component of the workshop focuses on evaluating training effectiveness in line with HRD Corp’s emphasis on accountability and return on investment in training. Participants will learn how to apply structured evaluation frameworks to assess learning outcomes, behavioural change, and organisational impact. The workshop also introduces predictive and post-training evaluation methods that enable organisations to demonstrate the effectiveness of their training, support continuous improvement, and strengthen future training proposals.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped with a clear and practical framework to plan, justify, and evaluate training initiatives in compliance with HRD Corp expectations. Participants will be able to produce defensible training justifications, implement measurable evaluation strategies, and demonstrate how training initiatives contribute to organisational performance, workforce capability development, and long-term business sustainability.
