OVERVIEW

Microsoft Excel is one of the most powerful and widely used tools for data analysis, visualisation, and business management. It enables users to efficiently organise, calculate, and evaluate quantitative data, making it an essential tool for businesses across industries. From tracking financial records and managing employee work hours to conducting complex data analysis and generating reports, Excel provides a robust platform that enhances productivity and streamlines workflows. Employees who develop proficiency in Excel can significantly improve their efficiency,  allowing them to work smarter, reduce manual effort, and increase accuracy in their daily tasks.

This two-day training programme is designed to take participants from a basic to an intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel. It is tailored for individuals who have little to no prior experience with Excel, as well as those looking to strengthen their foundational skills and advance to more complex functionalities. The course provides a structured learning approach through hands-on exercises and guided instruction, ensuring participants gain a strong command of Excel’s core features and develop the ability to work with spreadsheets more effectively. Throughout the training, participants will explore key concepts such as spreadsheet navigation, data entry, formatting, and basic formulae to automate calculations and improve efficiency. They will also learn techniques for managing data more effectively, including sorting, filtering, and organising datasets for better analysis. Additionally, the course will introduce methods for visualising data through charts and graphs, as well as intermediate functions such as conditional formatting, lookup functions, and data validation to enhance productivity.

By the end of this training, participants will have a solid understanding of Excel’s capabilities and be able to create professional, well-structured spreadsheets that support various business applications. They will gain confidence in applying formulae, generating reports, and using visualisation tools to present data in a meaningful way. As businesses increasingly rely on data-driven decision-making, proficiency in Excel provides a competitive edge, ensuring employees can contribute more effectively to organisational success.
